Using her passion for coding, Gabi Immelman built her local Mindjoy start-up to teach, promote and make programming accessible to children all over the world

Creative solutions to real problems is how Gabi Immelman, co-founder of Mindjoy, prefers to tackle anything that comes her way. She grew up with strong female role models, and her mother taught her to look into what other people value, and what they are looking to invest in. In order to encourage children to be leaders through creativity and performance, in 2021, Gabi launched EdTech Mindjoy, a platform that introduces children to programming and coding through live, virtual coding classes. Mindjoy not only aims to teach kids to code, but to provide individualised learning and online classes that make learning fun.

“The most powerful technology in any classroom is not the devices or the software, but rather the transformation of the minds in the classroom. Lifelong learning is a skill that we need to cultivate in young people,” she explains.
