GRACE WALES BONNER AT HERMÈS

One of the most notable announcements in recent fashion news (at the time of writing) is Grace Wales Bonner’s appointment at Hermès as the new creative director of its menswear line. Succeeding Véronique Nichanian, Bonner's arrival marks a historic moment, as she becomes the first woman of Black heritage to lead a major luxury fashion house.

The London-born designer is widely celebrated for her thoughtful approach to menswear, often blending European tailoring with Afro-Atlantic cultural narratives. Since founding her namesake label, she has earned a string of awards. Her collaborations with Dior and Adidas further demonstrate her ability to bridge craftsmanship, culture, and modernity with ease. Her Hermès debut is set for January 2027.

JONATHAN ANDERSON AT DIOR

Surprised when the news broke? Not really. Jonathan Anderson is now the creative director of Dior, overseeing menswear, womenswear, and haute couture. He recently debuted his Dior Men's spring/summer 2026 collection in June, followed by the women's collection in October. Anderson is no stranger to fashion's upper ranks, having founded JW Anderson in 2008 and led Loewe as creative director, where he redefined the Spanish house with his modern, art-driven vision.
