Lucky Number Eight

Dior extends its Chiffre Rouge collection with two new models sporting Monsieur Dior's lucky number, eight.

MUCH LIKE THE CHINESE and their affinity with the number eight, Monsieur Dior also loved the digit. The newest Chiffre Rouge timepieces—a 38mm three-hand model and a 41mm chronograph—pay homage to this lucky number with their date windows. It is the only figure rendered in red, and acts as a lucky charm that appears once a month. Additionally, the red pops up on the seconds hand and wraps around the crown at four o’clock.
