Nature's eventide cycle begins at dusk, when night-blooming plants stir to life. Magnolia (top left) intensifies its sweet scent around sundown to lure the last of the daytime pollinators, while scarlet water lilies and fuchsia four o'clocks (center left) attract beetles and moths with their ambrosial aromas. Urns of moonlight caladiums (bottom left) and silvery artemisia (right, shown with foamflower and ghost ferns) watch the midnight scene unfold.
