Fixtures and lamps are among the most cost-effective ways to add drama or period style to a room. Victorian gaslight-era lighting, Rococo to Aesthetic, is usually electrified in reproduction. Arts & Crafts lighting (ca. 1890-1930) runs to art glass and mica, hammered copper, and simple "Mission" forms. Of course you can supplement any of these with discreet modern lighting.
