The Last Goldfish's journey beneath the surface

Most design firms have names that are either eponymous or suitably 'design-sounding'.

The Last Goldfish, as curious as its name suggests, has always swum against the current. "After graduating in architecture in 2013, I won a scholarship to study at a monastery in Dharamshala with His Holiness The Dalai Lama," recalls founder Karan Anand Shandilya. "During that deeply transformative time, I had a dream: I was standing in knee-deep water, fishing. But, the fish I caught wasn't real - it was a folded paper origami goldfish. Then a voice whispered to me, 'You are the last goldfish.'"
