They say what’s meant to be will find you, and that was certainly the case for Ariane Thakore Ginwala – interior designer at her eponymous practice and founder of the furniture and home textiles brand This and That. Her journey has been shaped by mentors, surroundings, and, most importantly, passion. It began in Ahmedabad, a city steeped in artistic expression, where Ariane discovered and nurtured her own creative sensibility. Growing up amid the layered history of the city, she absorbed its contrasts firsthand. "From the Mughal era and the old city to modernist influences, we’ve seen it all right in front of us," she reflects, evoking the vibrant tapestry that would come to inform her work.
