Buen breaks new ground as a hospitality space that is an ode to art

A midnight-blue spiral staircase leads up to Buen, a stunning new event space for dining, drinks, and gatherings in the heart of South Delhi. Hidden among lush greenery, the 5,000 sq ft venue comes to life under the eye of Tanya Chutani, principal architect of Pantone Collective, who designed Buen as an ode to art – or, more specifically, an ode to terrazzo.

Partially framed by a glass atrium, the indoor-outdoor hospitality space becomes a stage for terrazzo as it sweeps from lounge to courtyard with graphic dynamism. “Unlike conventional hospitality projects, Buen was an open canvas without walls, ceiling or architectural structures. The floor, therefore, became the canvas for the entire narrative to unfold,” shares Tanya.
