These creatives want to make harnessing the sun's power more accessible - and help others to think differently about this free and democratic energy source

On a perfectly clear day, you can feel the energy that comes with the sun beating through your windows. Yet unless you've committed to the installation of panels on your roof, solar power isn't something we can easily embrace beyond a few garden lights.

However, 'solar designers' Marjan van Aubel and Erwin Marges, co-founders of a new solar-powered lighting brand, Sunne, want to change this. 'Solar energy can be seen as a democratic energy source, as it is free and everywhere, Erwin tells us. The current geopolitical situation is highlighting our need to be self-sufficient, and solar is a key tool to achieve this.
