Despite living in Paris, Anya Seymour and husband Justin were keen to keep their roots grounded in British soil, making regular trips back across the Channel to visit friends and family, including their four children. Looking for a base, they were drawn to Suffolk's stunning coastline and heathland. 'As a child, Justin learned to sail dinghies while holidaying here in Orford,' says Anya.

When the couple spotted the small listed three-bedroom cottage in the village for sale in 2022, they snapped it up. They then called on interior designer Laura Parkinson, founder of Palmer & Stone, to help maximise the space available and inject character back into the small, charming property.
