Six of the best pineta, plus a festive trip to Covent Garden. Review of The Orange, Belgravia by Katie Pike, travel stories

- Rhiannon Batten

TRAVEL

The Orange, Belgravia, London

imageWalking down the impossibly smart (all red brick and sash-windowed) Pimlico Road is a rush for any interiors enthusiast: Colefax & Fowler, Jane Churchill, Nina Campbell and Carl Hansen & Søn are just some of the icons to have showrooms here. It’s a fact that’s not gone unnoticed by the owners of The Orange, a pub with rooms that reopened on the bustling street earlier this year, following a dramatic revamp. Georgie and Sam Pearman shopped the street to create the stylish interiors: think industrial lighting, russet velvet banquette seating, Linwood wallpaper (in custom colours no less) and bentwood bar stools. Even the paint scheme (‘Clove’ and ‘Sang de Boeuf’, in case you’re wondering) was the result of a collab with Edward Bulmer, whose showroom is across the road.
