Charlie and Chris Webb have spent years renovating their beautiful period property – which is especially magical during the festive season

Christmas is a major event in Charlie Webb’s household. Her mum is half American and, as Charlie explains, has always gone big with decorations: ‘My mum absolutely adores the holidays and all the crafty creativity that comes with it. When we were growing up, the house would be completely bedecked and we had two themed trees. I’ve taken up those traditions, and this house lets me really indulge my love for this time of year.’ Indeed it does. The period home, which Charlie shares with husband Chris and their three children, is the perfect backdrop to all the twinkling lights, greenery found in the garden, and an impressive number of Christmas trees (six!) that dress almost every room. But, as Charlie admits, it’s taken many years, hard work and determination to get to this point.
