The residence is located on a busy urban street, across the road from a school and among a mix of diverse architectural styles. Given such a thriving neighbourhood, privacy was important. This statement abode has plenty of street appeal, with an impressive presence in the streetscape. Feras Raffoul, director of FGR Architects, says the client wanted a private, tranquil retreat within an energetic urban setting. “Privacy, natural light, openness and refined materiality were all priorities, with a desire for the home to feel sculptural while remaining liveable and welcoming,” he says.
