Summertime is joy itself, is it not? All that wondrous light, a bountiful supply of light we so crave during winter's short days. Summer feels like freedom, a pressure release. A reward for having survived another bleak season of hibernation. Payback for having successfully stored and regenerated, as with nature itself. For having sprung back into full flow and rising to the arc of the sun, as it tracks long, lingering, languishing days full of promise.
