Genuine antiques are defined as being more than 100 years old, although this is sometimes a loosely used term. Let’s define antiques as ‘something from a previous generation’. As such, they have an intrinsic value that can’t be replicated by anything freshly made. It’s the story of the piece that you are buying — not just the piece itself.

Each antique raises a series of questions for not just the owner, but their loved ones and guests. Who was it made for 200 years ago? How did they make it? Why was it made? And, once created, who has used it over the many generations it has existed?

Antiques are also a great way to enhance the appearance of our homes. They can add elegance and charm, with a huge variety of styles and appearances available.
