FABRICS USED

Outer: soft cotton duck canvas in Forest, minerva.com.

Lining: polyester in Forest, minerva.com.

TRACING THE SKIRT

Step one Choose a high-waisted midi skirt that fits you well. Fold the skirt in half lengthways and place on paper. Trace around the skirt, adding 1.5cm seam allowance on all sides except the centre fold line. For the dart allowance, add 2cm to the waist and draw a gradual connecting line to the hip point. At the halfway point between the centre back and side seam, draw the dart, 2cm wide and 14cm in length. Cut out the Back Skirt pattern. 01

Step two For the Front Skirt pattern, trace out the seam allowance on all sides and draw the dart. From the centre front line, add 14cm, this will form the wrap at the front. Cut out the Front Skirt pattern piece. 02
