My skincare journey has evolved significantly over the years, largely dependent on what's going on in my life. During my early 20s, I regularly scrubbed my vulnerable skin with an exfoliant containing plastic microbeads. This was not only harmful for the planet and its aquatic life, but also abrasive on my skin. I didn't wear sunscreen as much as I should, I wore make-up too often and, I'm ashamed to admit, I didn't always wash it off before bed. I sure didn't spend my money on natural or organic products as my income was mostly spent on the things university students spent their money on: cheap noodles and music tickets. When I was about 27, I really started taking notice of my skin. A little disclaimer: I've had clear, healthy skin with very few blemishes my whole life. But now I'm 34 and I'm starting to see some ageing, fine lines and skin spots. I'm also acutely aware of the importance of sticking with the same skincare products and not jumping ship whenever the next new anti-aging promising product lands on my desk. One brand I turn to time and time again is Sanctum.
Sanctum is a tried and tested favourite and loved by so many Australians. Manufactured here, and available at a very affordable price point, Sanctum are a crucial step in my skincare routine.
