Matheson and Gozney—award-winning pizza oven company (and two-time winner in our 2025 Grilling Awards)—are celebrating 10 years of holy matrimony with a summer ad campaign coined “Cook Different,” wherein Matheson peddles Gozney pizza ovens in classic late-night infomercial style.
He also lends his cheeky Canadian charm as a Gozney customer service representative to field common questions, highlighting the family of pizza ovens in the brand's lineup, from the luxe and versatile Dome, to the rugged and portable Tread, to the extremely compact Arc.
"He is disruptive, unexpected, and creative," said Jonathan Kantor, Gozney's chief revenue & marketing officer.
The campaign doesn't just provide a dose of levity, it also lends sage service for thinking outside the pizza box. Your oven isn't relegated simply to pies. Matheson underscores its versatility with refreshing recipes.
He demonstrates the ease of making Vietnamese clams with peanuts overlooking a New England bay using Gozney's Roccbox and a cast-iron pan; how to perfect the char on a crowd-pleasing green garlic marinara pizza in a backyard utilizing fresh-picked garden greens; and the fastest way to wow a crowd with a sumac-spiced lamb flatbread.
