Oh my God, why do we have to GO somewhere?" "Do you guys have any idea what it takes to do all this planning, booking, organising with everyone asking for different things?" "Why do we have to go anywhere? I will miss my swimming classes!" "And man it is so expensive to do all your favorite things in one place!" "Can we not go to a place but go for a movie?" "Can we just Netflix and that's our holidays?"

Sounds familiar? Yet we shake off the comfort of our conveniences, shed the security of the familiar and follow the innate human need to EXPLORE! We put all obstacles aside and set out like a travelling troubadour, in search of the new.

And today, in this lovely, cool and scintillating January of 2024, as we begin a brand-new year, I welcome you to this new column, where you explore a new place from the comfort of your own space. As you read, visualise and imagine, you end up sowing the seeds to having a live experience of that place one day.
