ONE OF the joys of Britain's farm shops is that so many are situated in breathtaking locations and on historic estates where one can find oneself whiling away much more time than it takes to simply stock up on fresh supplies. The Hawarden Estate Farm Shop, in the Flintshire countryside but just 15 minutes from Chester, is one such example. The estate features a 13th-century fortification, an 18th-century castle that was home to a former Prime Minister, a vast walled garden and acres of majestic parkland.
