What began as a dream to create a serene escape close to nature has today become one of the region's most soulful destinations — Forest Hill Resort.

Founded by Lt. Col. B.S. Sandhu (Retd.) and his son Parvinder Sandhu, the resort reflects their shared love for the outdoors, family values, and mindful living. In conversation with Urban Melange, they share the inspiration, vision, and heart that went into building Forest Hill.

How did the idea of Forest Hill Resort come to life?

The idea came from a simple love for nature and open spaces. We always felt there should be a place close to the city where people can truly disconnect, breathe fresh air, and reconnect with themselves and their loved ones. That dream slowly evolved into Forest Hill Resort.

What was your vision behind creating this space?

My vision was to create a destination where nature, luxury, and community come together, a space that feels alive, nurturing, and inspiring. We wanted to offer something that doesn't just entertain people, but deeply rejuvenates them.

How involved is the family in the day-to-day working of the resort?

We're all quite hands-on. Each family member contributes in their own way, from operations and guest experiences to hospitality and events. It's not just a business for us; it's something we live and breathe every day.
