Where Time Comes Alive

At Ambience Mall, Gurugram, history sheds its textbook image and turns tactile, playful, and alive.
Conceived by Dr. Purnima Bakshi Kanwar — daughter of General G.D. Bakshi — I Dig History is more than a children's museum; it's a made-in-India wonderland where curiosity becomes the bridge between past and future, intellect and imagination.
A Playground of Eras and Ideas
There's a childlike thrill in rediscovering history when it’s brought alive not through textbooks, but through imagination, sound, and sand. I felt that unmistakable sense of wonder the moment I stepped inside I Dig History — a space that makes time itself feel touchable.
The air carried the faint hum of adventure — soft lights glinting on stone replicas, the earthy scent of sand, and the quiet excitement of discovery waiting in every corner. I came expecting an educational setup but found instead a world that blurred the lines between learning and play — a living narrative, a playground of eras and ideas.
At the heart of it all stood Dr. Purnima Bakshi Kanwar, the creative force behind this groundbreaking concept — daughter of the ever-inspiring General G.D. Bakshi, whose intellect and discipline are legendary. The connection between their worlds — art, military history, and imagination — revealed itself beautifully as we spoke.
"Do What You Love" - A Legacy of Learning“The focus at home, both from my mother and father, was always clear — do what you like,” Purnima smiled, recalling her childhood. “My father brought books even before I was born. The push toward creativity — that’s all thanks to him. And papa always insisted on having the Indian history section at the core. That was nonnegotiable.”

The Evolution of Beauty Standards and Skincare Practices
I always get surprised when I look back. I have seen beauty standards and skincare practices have evolved significantly. There is a huge difference when you see what skincare means in the 18th or 19th century versus now. It's not just that there are tons of products and advice available but it's about reflecting the cultural values, technological advancements, and invention of cosmetics and beauty products in each era. From Greece and Rome to contemporary trends and historical rituals, we have pursued various methods to achieve and maintain healthy and glowing skin. We have seen the evolution of beauty standards and skincare practices throughout history. And, with this, it amazes me how historical beauty rituals continue to influence contemporary trends.

The new EU Campus is a very special project. On the one hand, due to its unique location, in the heart of Valencia next to the old Turia riverbed and very close to several points of cultural interest.
