Walking into Egypt House that evening, there was a quiet sense of anticipation in the air. It wasn't merely a celebration of heritage — it felt like witnessing time fold into the present, where civilizations still converse through art, warmth, and memory.

Within the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, the grandeur of Egypt's heritage came alive through an evening that seamlessly merged culture, diplomacy, and art. Hosted by H.E. Kamel Galal, Ambassador of Egypt to India, and Mrs. Reham Handoussa, the gala celebrated the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) in Cairo — a landmark event in the continuing story of world heritage.

The event formed part of a global initiative by Egyptian missions to mark this historic occasion, co-organized by Egypt Air and Sopaan — the cultural organization founded by Ambassador Monika Kapil Mohta and Siddhaant Mohta — and supported by Uflex, TCI Sanmar, L'Opéra, TBO.com, and Allied Aviation.

From the moment guests stepped into Egypt House, the setting carried an unmistakable charm - dignified yet warm, blending Egyptian hospitality with Delhi's cosmopolitan spirit. It was more than a diplomatic gathering; it felt like a cultural dialogue where the past and present spoke the same refined language.
