An Artistic SPLASH

With his first wristwatch for Hublot, artist Daniel Arsham reimagines time as liquid sculpture.

Swiss watchmaker Hublot has revealed its latest collaboration with American artist and brand ambassador Daniel Arsham—a breathtaking timepiece that exists somewhere between sculpture and horology. The MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire marks an audacious new chapter in their ongoing creative partnership, one that continues to challenge conventional notions of what a watch can be.

Following the transformable MP-16 Arsham Droplet pocket watch, this latest creation explores themes of fluidity and transparency with renewed sophistication. The design finds its muse in water's dynamic forms—the way it moves, splashes, and catches light—creating what Arsham describes as a “wearable sculpture.” It is Arsham’s first wristwatch design for Hublot, a distinction that carries weight given the artist's reputation for reimagining contemporary objects through his distinctive lens of fictional archaeology.
