Thursday 6 June marks 80 years since the D-Day landings on the beaches of Normandy, which turned the tide of World War Two in favour of the Allies.

Now, to commemorate the extraordinary endeavour, there are a number of shows, live events and documentaries across the week on the BBC, featuring royal guests, testimony from the veterans and tributes to the fallen. Here's our guide to what's in store...
