On 13 March 1996, a lone gunman walked into a primary school in the small Scottish town of Dunblane, armed with four legally held handguns. Within minutes, he'd murdered 16 children and a teacher, and injured 15 others before killing himself. To this day, it remains Britain's deadliest mass shooting.
