When Rhona was given free rein to care for baby Ivy, it felt like all her birthdays had come at once. With fragile Gus needing time to heal and grieve the loss of his wife, Lucy, he left his newborn daughter at Smithy, where they'd been taken in by his ex-wife and her husband, and returned to his place.
