LIZ FLETCHER on sharing the joy of crafting at Christmas

Liz Fletcher can't wait to showcase her passion for crafting in a sparkling seasonal spin-off from popular ITV1 fly-on-the-barn-wall series Fletchers' Family Farm. 'I'm really excited,' smiles the 42-year-old star, as she joins TV Times for an exclusive chat about Fletchers' Country Workshop. 'Repurposing, reusing and creating is so enjoyable, and I hope the show inspires others that they can do it, too.'

Having fallen in love with all things interior design while renovating the Peak District farmhouse and cottage she bought with her actor husband Kelvin Fletcher in 2021, Liz will embark on a mission to transform a disused barn on their 18th-century homestead into a winter wonderland for a fab-Yule-ous festive party.

But with a big space to fill and even bigger ideas, it's all hands on deck and a glittering workshop is set up for Liz, Kelvin and their four children - daughter Marnie, nine, son Milo, seven, and three-year-old twin boys Mateusz and Maximus – as well as Liz's parents Mary and David, to learn new skills with help from different experts.

'It's nice to have the whole family involved,' says Liz, as, here, she tells us more about the show...

Where does your enthusiasm for upcycling and restoration come from, Liz?

My mum and dad. Growing up, Mum loved painting and decorating, and Dad was forever fixing and building things. They are always helping us. When I call them and say, 'What are you doing?' they always reply, 'Why?' - because they don't know if I'm going to ask them to do some decorating or babysit!
