Who put the builder in hospital? And can they cover their tracks?

Garry's attacker REVEALED!

Gary Windass is no stranger to hospital - as we've said before, he has spent so much time in Weathy General that he should have a wing named after him. But his current stay is different. He's unconscious, yet we have no idea why.

This week, flashback scenes (yep, them again) revisit the night when the builder came a cropper, and the mystery is finally solved. Has it got something to do with a female visitor who's hiding Gary's identity from hospital staff?

Maria's seen nothing of her husband since she tore into him for getting too close to her nemesis Lou. Gary then took some time out to visit his mum Anna (who really needs to come back to the cobbles - agreed?).

The crimper later received a text, sent from Ga's phone, saying he was staying with a mate for a while. Maria was unconcerned, until her son Liam's 16th birthday came around - Gary's radio silence spoke volumes. Becoming increasingly worried, this week she reports him as missing.
