But away from his superhero role, the Australian star now takes on more extreme challenges to explore the latest scientific thinking behind the secrets to living a better life in a new run of Disney+’s documentary series Limitless.

In the show’s three-part second season, Live Better Now, the actor learns a new skill – drumming – to help to boost brain power, appearing on stage with Ed Sheeran, overcomes his fear of heights by climbing a 600ft Alpine dam and looks for ways to handle his chronic back pain by trying ancient healing techniques in South Korea before undergoing some brutal trials with the country’s Special Forces
