Dressed TO KILL

Back in 2001, Jane Andrews, a former royal assistant to Sarah Ferguson, was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of her boyfriend, businessman Thomas Cressman. Now, ITV1’s four-part semi-fictionalised drama The Lady – which begins with two episodes this week – examines the complex case.

In the aftermath of the September 2000 death of Cressman (Ed Speleers), DCI Keith Douglas (Philip Glenister) is shown leading the hunt for Andrews (Mia McKenna-Bruce), who has gone on the run from the London home the couple shared.

DREAMING BIG

The action then cuts back and forth to the 1980s, when the young Andrews, who has experienced mental-health issues, is growing up in a working-class household in northern England with parents June (Claire Skinner) and David (Daniel Ryan).
