Those with discriminating palettes may have already devoured the brilliant second season of The Bear, a sumptuous dramedy that burrows into the emotional chaos within a Chicago family restaurant that spends most of the 10 episodes closed for renovation. Season 2 is all about renewal: not just for the former sandwich shop now going upscale as The Bear, but for its staff, led by brooding celebrity chef Carmy Berzatto (Emmy favorite Jeremy Allen White) and his ambitious sous-chef Sydney (sly Ayo Edebiri), eager to show what she’s made of and what she can make.
