Interview Sukanya Basu Mallik, Author, Durga:
When did you first realize your writing ability, and what led you to choose writing as a pursuit, especially given your background as an MBA professional?
I discovered my passion for writing early in life, starting at the age of 8, with my work in print by the time I reached 7th grade. Despite being an artist at heart, I pursued an MBA because of my father's wishes. While I can provide logical reasons for choosing the degree, the ultimate decision was driven by my father's desire.
Could you narrate the journey of 'Durga: The Divine Warrior'? What prompted you to choose Durga as the focal point, and how did the process unfold, including the research involved?
'Durga: The Divine Warrior' stems from my childhood connection with Durga as my favorite deity. Her blend of feminine charisma and fierceness intrigued me, leading to the idea of the Tridevi series. The journey involved studying Durga's avatars and maintaining narrative integrity while infusing freshness, opting for innovation through graphics.
