A Year Full of Pain
Storizen
|Dec 2024
As the New Year bell rang, we geared up to welcome 2024. A fresh year was ahead of me and I was excited to welcome 2024 just like others. With the excitement in me, I was not aware of what 2024 had in store for me.
The year started on a good note. The beginning of the year gave me good news which was related to my passion. I love to create happy stories which would bring smiles to my readers' faces. My book got published in the first month of the year. It was enough reason to make me feel that this year has a lot of good stuff for me.
In the next month, I got a huge jolt that was connected to my profession. I lost my job due to the introduction of AI in my professional front. It was impossible to go through such a tough and unfortunate situation. Staying away from my job which I have been doing for the last many years was indeed no less than a shock for me. Not having a permanent job is a pain.
It was quite tough to surmount the tough time when I got another punch from life. I was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy and lumbar spondylosis. Nights after nights I had to bear the unbearable pain in my feet. At the same time, the pain and stiffness in my lower back were too much to tackle. Tears used to roll down my cheeks when I used to think of my being jobless and my health issues.

We Didn’t Drift Apart Suddenly
If you grew up in the 70s, 80s, or 90s, you probably understand when I say that what I miss most from my childhood is togetherness. Families used to sit down for dinner every night, sharing not just food but stories from the day.

Unsaid Whispers
Wind flows through the upper branches laden with guava. What seems to be a variegated figment of mistfestooning them is a creature prancing—probably a human made up of only bones and skin, no flesh—as bit by bit,it comes into view in the twilight hour of dusk.
