Inside Charli xcx's Surprise Wedding

Charli xcx’s latest brat summer just got a shot of sweet romance. On July 19 the British pop star, 32, married the 1975 drummer George Daniel, 35, in a ceremony at Hackney Town Hall in London. The newlyweds were joined by 20 close friends and family members, including her parents and several members of the drummer’s band (minus frontman Matty Healy).

Charli, who wore a Vivienne Westwood gown, and Daniel, whose boutonniere matched her bouquet, “wanted the ceremony to feel special and personal but not over-the-top,” a source tells People, adding that the couple “danced all night,” and it was “the most fun celebration.” Afterward Charli and Daniel took the party to Ellie’s bar in nearby Dalston, where the bride swapped looks, slipping into an Yves Saint Laurent minidress.
