On a trip to Miami with her mom, former model Glenda Reyna, now 73, González—flush with cash after landing a job on a Mexican TV show—spotted the footwear and got permission to get them. “It was a lot of money,” says the actress, who kept the shoes for years. “I would clean them. I’d make sure that they were perfect.”

Since then she has appeared in hit movies (2017’s Baby Driver) and sci-fi series (Netflix’s current 3 Body Problem) and become a muse for director Guy Ritchie, who has worked with her on three projects.
