Broadcom, Inc. unveiled the first Wi-Fi 8 silicon solutions for broadband wireless, targeting residential gateways, enterprise access points, and smart mobile clients.

These solutions are designed for the performance, reliability, and efficiency needs of AI-driven edge networks. To accelerate AI-first wireless connectivity, Broadcom also offers Wi-Fi 8 IP licensing for IoT, automotive, and mobile devices.
The new family of Wi-Fi 8 solutions include:
- BCM6718 designed for residential and operator access applications
- BCM43840 and BCM43820 tailored for enterprise access applications
- BCM43109 for edge wireless clients such as smartphones, laptops, tablets, and automotive
