The Ginger Mix-up

Near the school, lived a tribe of monkeys that would often create noise and cause mischief swinging from the trees.

That day, the Hindi teacher, Mr Raj, was teaching the fifth-grade class about Hindi idioms.

"Tell me, children, what is the meaning of this idiom, 'What does a monkey know of the flavour of ginger?"" he asked.

Hearing the word monkey suddenly come from the teacher's mouth, Rio and his companions, who were jumping among the trees, peeped through the window grills of the classroom. They tried to listen and understand what the teacher was saying.

All of them found it strange that the teacher could say with such confidence that monkeys did not know the flavour of ginger, when they had tasted ginger many times.

Confused and thoughtful, they returned to the forest without hearing the rest of the lecture.

When they reached the forest, the leader addressed everyone.

"My friends, I believe we must clear this big misunderstanding that the teacher and the children have about our monkey tribe.

They think monkeys do not know the flavour of ginger," he said.
