The Earth Has Fever!

Alok had a heat stroke. The doctor said, "He has a fever. Please give him these medicines and keep him hydrated till he gets better."

"Yes, Doctor," said his mother.

"Give him as much fluid as possible. This will cure him quickly," said the doctor, injecting him.

Soon, Alok fell asleep. He suddenly felt his height increase. He was amazed as he became so tall that the earth looked like a small ball. Then he took a step forward near the moon.

The moon said, "Look, Alok! Like you, the earth also has a fever."

Alok was startled to hear this. "The earth has a fever?"

"Yes, Alok," said the moon. "If you don't believe me, take this thermometer and measure the temperature of the earth."

Alok couldn't believe it.

"How can the earth have a fever?"

He took the thermometer from the moon and placed it in the hilly part of the earth. The mercury in the thermometer suddenly started rising.
