On Pal Martha Stewart: We're Like Family!

The legendary hip-hop star shares a deep connection with his unlikely celebrity BFF

He’s a rapper known for songs like “Gin & Juice” and “Nuthin’ But a G Thang.” She’s a lifestyle expert known for her upside-down lemon meringue pie and popular line of linens. Yet, somehow,  musician Snoop Dogg, 51, and domestic goddess Martha Stewart, 81, have developed a genuine friendship that’s spanned 15 years. “We naturally love some of the same things, and when you put two people in the same room who love life and business, something is bound to happen,” says Snoop, who first bonded with Martha during a few memorable appearances on her former show Martha,  and later starred with her in Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, which debuted on VH-1 in 2016. “We’re like family.” As for his biological kin, Snoop (real name Calvin Broadus) shares three children (Corde, 28, Cordell, 25, and Cori, 23) with his wife of 26 years, Shante, along with five grandkids. Here, the entrepreneur — he recently celebrated the grand opening of “Tha Dogg House” with Funko, the company’s first co-branded retail experience for fans — talks to In Touch’s Lindsay Hoffman about hanging with Martha, his best relationship advice and his secret talent.

Why do you and Martha get along so well?

SD: She’s fun to be around, and I’m fun to be around, so why wouldn’t we have fun together? I was recently in Vegas deejaying, and she was in the VIP section rocking with me. I had to play “That’s My Best Friend!”
