He looked like a wholesome family man. During breaks in his trial at NYC's Federal District Court, a gray-haired Sean "Diddy" Combs, wearing a collared shirt, glasses and sweater that one court employee described as "preppy," blew his kids — sons Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, Christian, 27, and daughters Chance, 18, and 18-year-old twins D'Lila and Jessie, who attended with his mother, Janice — kisses. Later, he exchanged heart hands gestures with the twins. But when a witness described Diddy's actions in an orgy, the twins walked out.

The details revealed during the trial painted a toxic picture of their father. “To the public, he was Puff Daddy or Diddy. A cultural icon, a businessman, larger than life. But there was another side to him, a side that ran a criminal enterprise,” prosecutor Emily A. Johnson said of the 55-year-old, who has pleaded not guilty to five counts of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. His own defense attorney, Teny Geragos, conceded that while he is not guilty of those charges, Diddy is a “flawed individual,” who was prone to “alcoholand drug-fueled” temper tantrums, subjected his ex-girlfriend, Cassie to “horrible, dehumanizing, violent and terrible” behavior, and engaged in “kinky sex.”

The trial began on May 12 with the jury seeing the security footage — which went viral in 2024 — of Diddy throwing his ex to the ground during a brutal 2016 fight in LA’s InterContinental Hotel. But by the end of the first week, multiple witnesses had exposed details of Diddy’s private life that were even more shocking than anyone realized. “I’ve been surprised by the graphic and explicit nature of the witness testimony,” former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani tells In Touch of what is now the trial of the year. “The prosecution came out swinging.”
