THE RACE IS ON FOR THE DUKE AND DUCHESS TO PROVE THEIR RELEVANCE

THE fight TO STAY Seen

Having made the tentative first steps towards reconciliation with King Charles, Prince Harry has been quick to associate himself with another member of his family. Tracing his late mother’s steps on July 16, the Duke of Sussex reenacted the moment Princess Diana walked through a field of landmines in Angola in 1997.

“Children should never have to live in fear of playing outside or walking to school,” the 40-year-old prince said. “Here in Angola, over three decades later, the remnants of war still threaten lives every day.”

The short trip to Africa without his wife, Meghan, had a clear double meaning. While Harry is so desperate to make up with his ill 76-year-old father that he reportedly handed over his diary to the palace in early July to avoid any further embarrassing clashes, he doesn't need the Windsors' blessing to carry out his own hybrid blend of royalty from his base in the United States.
