She was recently dubbed the “world’s most overrated celebrity” by Donald Trump, but fans of Kim Kardashian would beg to differ. The 43-year-old is not only arguably the biggest reality TV star, but also an incredibly astute businesswoman and entrepreneur – a fact that was celebrated as she graced the cover of GQ magazine on their annual Men of the Year issue. “Kim is a boss babe,” wrote one fan online.

With two beauty lines, several perfumes, an energy drink, a mobile game, and a private equity fund to her name – not to mention her Skims label (her most lucrative of side hustles), which is currently valued at over $6 billion – it’s obvious that Kardashian knows her stuff when it comes to business and has the work ethic to see it through. It’s something, she says, she learnt from her father.

“My dad had me sign a contract for everything,” Kim told GQ in the accompanying interview. “When I got a car, I needed to have it washed once a week, make sure that it had enough gas and that I didn’t run it into the ground. It was a gift he gave me at 16, but I had responsibilities.”

Perhaps most famously known for serving as part of O.J. Simpson’s legal team in his highly-publicized 1995 criminal trial for double murder, Robert, the Kardashian patriarch, was actually primarily an entrepreneur himself. And the influence he had on Kim runs deep to this day, not just regarding her business acumen but also in her pursuit to become a lawyer herself.
