THE SEASONED STAR LOOKS BACK ON AN ACCIDENTAL ACTING CAREER

She's given some of the most memorable performances in Hollywood history, but Jodie Foster's career began unintentionally when she was scouted for a sunscreen commercial at just 3 years old.

Reflecting on a lifetime of acting work upon receiving a tribute award at the Marrakech Film Festival on November 29, Foster, 63, wondered about what might have been.

"I would never have chosen to be an actor," the two-time Oscar winner said at the festival. “I don't have the personality of an actor. I'm not somebody that wants to dance on a table and, you know, sing songs for people.

"It's actually just a cruel job that was chosen for me as a young person that I don't remember starting."

In that case, fans have her late mother, Evelyn "Brandy" Foster - a former Hollywood publicist who became her daughter's manager - to thank for steering her towards doing her first film at 6 years old.
