Almost three decades after her 1997 death, Princess Diana's sartorial influence is alive and well.

Open Instagram and you'll be bombarded with accounts dedicated to her looks, as her style continues to inspire designers, celebrities and everyday people.

“I think there was a bold spirit with which Diana embraced royal fashion that is palpable in the pictures that populate social media,” Elizabeth Holmes, the author of HRH: So Many Thoughts on Royal Style, tells WHO. “Diana delighted in fashion as an art form. She embraced trends of the time, was willing to take risks, reached out to new designers - it was exciting to see what she would turn up wearing.”
