KATHERINE AND SOPHIE ARE A LIFELINE FOR THOUSANDS OF BUSY FAMILIES NATIONWIDE

DINNER DONE

Sophie Gilliatt and Katherine Westwood have Christmas sorted this year. Instead of slaving over a hot stove for hours and arriving at the lunch table stressed and sweaty, they’ll both be serving up The Dinner Ladies’ Christmas Menu. The pre-prepared feast is an annual tradition for their frozen meals company and something that thousands of their customers will be relying on this December, as they do for their weekly dinners year round.

image“Honestly, if I tried to replicate that menu, it would take me days and cost a fortune. I don’t understand why anyone wouldn’t do Dinner Ladies for Christmas,” Katherine, 58, tells WHO with a laugh.

This year, there will be even more celebrating around their Christmas tables as the business, which they started from Katherine’s back shed in 2007, has gone from delivering 10 meals to 40,000 a week and has grown 30 per cent in the past year.
