CARRIE, CHARLOTTE AND MIRANDA SIGN OFF ON A THREE-DECADE LONG CHAPTER

And just like that … Carrie Bradshaw and her Manolo Blahniks will grace our TV screens for the very last time, with Sex and the City spin-off And Just Like That… coming to an end after three seasons.

To some, news of the show’s cancellation has come as no surprise, with certain critics calling it “woke” and “cringeworthy”. Others, meanwhile, tuned in each week to watch the group of fashionable, forward and sometimes frustrating women in their fifties and sixties navigate the ups and downs of dating, careers and family dynamics in New York City.

It was a form of escapism, which is what showrunner Michael Patrick King’s faithfuls craved after Sex and the City ended its six-season run in 2004.

“And just like that … the ongoing storytelling of the Sex and the City universe is coming to an end,” King, 70, shared via social media on August 1, adding, “While I was writing the last episode of And Just Like That… Season 3, it became clear to me that this might be a wonderful place to stop.”
