Cooking has been Rachael Ray's job for a long time, but she still gets joy out of it.

Ray cohosted Burger Bash during the New York City Wine & Food Festival on Oct. 17.

"Whether I'm filming or not, I make a family meal every single day for anybody who's on property, can be from six to 15 people," the culinary star, 57, tells Us about life in Italy with her husband, John Cusimano. "I love being in the kitchen. Even when I sit down to type and read emails, I'm still sitting at the kitchen counter and keeping half an eye on the stove. It's what I was born to do, and it's how I live."
