It's NEVER TOO LATE to FIND LOVE

While filming their new Hallmark+ series, Second Chance Love — in which five former couples reunite in Sardinia, Italy, to see if they can rekindle things with the one who got away — Matthew Lawrence and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas were especially inspired by one duo, Paul and Leslie, who reconnected after 40 years.

“They’re an older couple,” says Chilli, “but love can happen at any age.” They know a little something about that: Chilli was in her 50s and Lawrence in his 40s when they got together in 2022. They agree it was perfect timing. “I wouldn’t have been ready for this type of relationship in my early 20s or 30s,” says Boy Meets World alum Lawrence, 45, who was married to former Dancing With the Stars pro Cheryl Burke from 2019 to 2022. Chilli, 54, dated music producer Dallas Austin in the mid-'90s (they're parents to son Tron, 28, and grandparents to Tron's baby girl, Lua, 21 months.) and Usher from 2001 to 2004. The Brotherly Love podcast cohost and the TLC singer chat with Us about working together and staying in sync.

Tell Us about getting involved in Second Chance Love.

Matthew: We didn't want to be part of a salacious dating show or put our relationship [out there as a] spectacle. We wanted to be there as the hosts and to lend our help [when] we could.
