DIANE KEATON A LEGEND LOST

Hollywood experienced a devastating shock on Oct. 11 when news broke that legendary actress Diane Keaton had passed away at the age of 79. Her family later revealed that the star had died of pneumonia, and it was reported that her health had declined suddenly in the final months of her life. "I saw her two or three weeks ago, and she was very thin," songwriter Carole Bayer Sager, who worked on Keaton's only solo music release, 2024's "First Christmas," told People, adding, "She had lost so much weight."

Although Keaton kept her personal life private, she did make one major change in March when she listed her L.A. estate — which she'd called her “dream home” — for $29 million. Neighbors also relayed that they had no longer seen Keaton on her usual daily walks with her golden retriever, Reggie. She last appeared on screen in the May 2024 comedy Summer Camp.
